Crescent Road Designated as "Special Enforcement Area" for Traffic Violations
In response to concerns over ongoing safety issues, the City of Twin Oaks is designating a portion of Crescent Road as a “special enforcement area” and doubling the fines for certain traffic violations.
The specific zone subject to the increased fines on Crescent Road spans 200 feet from the western City limits to the edge of the driveway at 157 Crescent Road. Traffic violations that will result in doubled fines include speeding, improper lane usage, careless driving, and going the wrong way on a one-way street.
The Board of Aldermen approved the designation during their regular meeting on July 12th. Signs will be posted informing motorists of the special enforcement area and the measure will take effect 30 days from the date of this notice on Wednesday, August 11th.
