Attorney Information

You must submit your paperwork to the proper office for processing.  Entries of appearance, motions and other pleadings should be directed to the Court Administrator. Requests for recommendations must be submitted to the Twin Oaks Prosecuting Attorney at the above email or mail address separately from any court documentation.

NOTE: Per Missouri Supreme Court Rule 37.04, requests for recommendations and entry of appearance and filing information meant for the prosecutor which are submitted to the court will not be forwarded by the court to the Prosecuting Attorney on behalf of the defendant/defense counsel.

Requests for Recommendations and Discovery

Requests for recommendations: If the attorney is requesting a recommendation from the Prosecuting Attorney, a separate letter directed to the Prosecuting Attorney must be sent directly to the Prosecuting Attorney by mail or email. When sending via mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Along with your letter requesting recommendation, a copy of the entry of appearance as filed with the court should be enclosed.

Any relevant documentation that would assist the Prosecuting Attorney in making a recommendation, i.e., proof of insurance, registration, reinstatement, etc., should be included. NOTE: If your client's charge(s) involve a motor vehicle accident, a copy of their insurance card IS NOT SUFFICIENT. You must provide either a letter from your client's insurer verifying proof of settlement of all claims with acceptance of liability or proof of restitution.

If discovery is requested, please file a written request with the Prosecuting Attorney. Please provide return mailing envelope with postage affixed. Please note that pursuant to Rule 37, all discovery is allowed at the discretion of the judge. The Prosecuting Attorney will voluntarily provide police reports, accident reports, written statements and/or alcohol influence reports. Any other desired discovery (i.e. depositions) shall be noticed up with the court via appropriate motion for hearing and determination.

Counsel will receive a written recommendation from the prosecutor by mail. The signed recommendation or other plea form must accompany payment to be accepted by the Court office on the date listed on the recommendation. It is counsel's responsibility to contact the Court to obtain a continuance; the Prosecuting Attorney does not have the authority to change any court dates.

If you are awaiting a response from the Court or the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and you have not received a response prior to the court date, you may either appear as scheduled or submit a Motion to Continue the case to allow for additional time.  Continuances are not automatically granted.
